Donna Bell, Ceo/President of Expressive Creations, Fitness Guru, and entrepreneur grew in Benton Harbor, Michigan and Peoria, Illinois. Like most inner city youth in rural Benton Harbor, Michigan, she had challenging times in her childhood. The challenges in her life, gave her the strength and courage to succeed in life.

“I’m grateful for all my accomplishments,” she said in a phone interview. “Helping others and giving back to the community is what I stand for.”

Donna Bell grew up in Benton Harbor, Michigan and Peoria, IL. Graduating from Manual High School in 1995, then attending Lincoln College on a basketball scholarship. After completing college, she felt the need to have more discipline and focus in her life and joined the United States Marines for nine years. The U.S. Marines gave her the focus and drive needed to create her non-profit organization Expressive Creations, a philanthropic approach utilizing military, behavioral, and life skills training to youth in the community.

“My goal for Expressive Creations is to decrease teen pregnancy, dropout rate, and help the youth create successful careers beyond high school,” stated Donna Bell. Expressive Creations Inc. is recently hosting a “Get Fitness Challenge” for Benton Harbor, MI led by Donna Bell.

The Get Fit Challenge started Monday-August 29, 2011 and will end Saturday-October 1, 2011. The participants will have completed a five week, three days a week, hard-core fitness challenge. Prizes and incentives will be given to the participants who have lost the most weight at the end of the challenge.

“The Get Fit Challenge is more of a mental challenge, pain is weakness leaving the body,” Donna said. “It is a passion of mine to help people become healthy.”

Another initiative that derived from “Expressive Creations” is “The Male and Female Achiever’s Training Academy” a development of leadership skill set amongst youth ages 12-18 of diverse backgrounds, providing creative learning experiences that will teach them how to apply methods to issues in physical, emotional, social, and intellectual areas of their lives.

Donna is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Management in Leadership at University of Phoenix with plans to have Expressive Creations in a new facility and a marketing company on the horizon.

“Continuing to sustain the foundations of “Expressive Creations” and finishing my doctorate degree, while giving back to my community is main focus,” Donna said.

With a philanthropic spirit and “go-getter” attitude, there is not doubt that Donna Bell will achieve greatness and encourage a younger generation in the same path.
