There is saying that you can tell a lot about a person from their hands and this is what I know about my Grandma’s hands. I often wonder about my Grandma’s hands.

Grandma’s hands were gentle like her voice. Grandma’s love gave her no choice; she loved without fault and unconditionally, with those hands carried silent strength that came from within. She was resilient when it came to her kids.

With those hands she wiped her tears of loss, frustration and fears. Grandma’s continually clasped in prayer for her family and friends.

Grandma’s hand would make breakfast in the morning and send me to school. Grandma’s hands would call each one of children regularly. Grandma’s hands prepared family gatherings that would bring us daily.

Grandma’s hands got weary and weak. Grandma’s hands joined her brothers and sisters in heaven and now Grandma’s hands watch over me.

In Loving Memory of my maternal grandmother Mary J. Jordan. I love you eternally!
